They are the support on which we settle, our point of support on the ground.
The base on which our body supports itself to be able to stand, to move, to go forward. They are our contact with the earth (mother earth), with life, with others.
Represent our affirmed and recognized positions and, as a consequence, the criteria with which we govern our lives, our ideals and our convictions. They symbolize the official role we play, our attitudes, our supports in relationships.
Above all they are usually linked to the mother who takes care of us and who nurtures us and to our roots.
Finally, they are also a symbol of freedom since they allow us to move.
Therefore, the feet are related to two aspects of our life:
First, they show our progress, the route or the path we want to follow and, secondly, they express the relationship with our mother. In many problems that affect the feet, both aspects are represented.
“I want to go down a path, but my mother does not agree, she prevents me”, “I want to advance in life, but my mother stops me”, “My mother judges me, criticizes me, the path I have taken in life”
Feet show us how we move through life:
Large feet indicate a person who in childhood was very close to her mother.
It is possible that she has a certain tendency to materialism.
On the contrary, small feet indicate that the support was found in the paternal and may be individuals attracted by the intellectual and the spiritual.
Some flat feet correspond to a person who seeks the affection of the mother, when I am a child, I do not want to separate from my mother, I need her fusion, I seek contact with my mother,
I need more contact with her or “I feel oppressed by my mother and I submit because I cannot escape, I let myself be done”,
“She prevents me from detaching myself and pins me to the ground”, “I am crushed by my mother”
The cavus foot: (with an excessive plantar arch) resembles a person who huddles and folds back on him, thus expressing her need for autonomy in relation to the mother.
“I resist being overwhelmed by my mother.” “I want to separate from my mother.”
However, people with heavy feet are firmly rooted to the ground, in safety.
They are reliable, constant and realistic people and little given to the intellectual plane.
Warm feet: It is the archetype of sweetness, synonymous with well-being.
People with warm feet would have liked their mother to be kinder, sweeter, warmer, more loving.
Cold feet: “My mother is cold, I don’t feel like touching her, because her touch is destabilizing”
Individuals who walk on the balls of her feet have a serious problem with her mother:
“I don’t want to see her; I don’t want to touch her”
At the same time they have little contact with reality, they do not take root anywhere and they are possessors of great dreams, fantasies and enormous creativity.
Sweaty feet: sweat is used to eliminate toxins. If there is excessive sweating, it tells us about a toxic mother, real or symbolic, or me as a mother.
Bad smell: the biological sense of bad smell, as they also use animals, is to mark territory and ward off rivals or enemies.
Clubfoot or clubfoot: it is a deformity that occurs at birth, therefore, we are going to look for some conflict related to a direction to be taken by the mother or perhaps, to a lesser degree by the father, during the pregnancy that involved great stress.
If it didn’t, we need to find out if any ancestors the baby has an affinity for are involved.
Walking with your feet out can be a sign of openness, of extroversion; the opposite, that is, walking with the feet facing inwards, would speak to us of a shy person who is afraid to move forward,
“I’m going, but I don’t feel like going”
On the other hand, those people who walk leaning mainly on their heel, as if they were stepping on eggs, have the tendency to avoid life since, due to the posture they adopt; they are prone to being knocked back easily.
Corns on feet express our need to protect ourselves from our mother.
“I need to protect myself from my mother”
Foot drop: when I cannot lift my foot, symbolically, it wants to express to me that I have difficulties in taking a direction, to push myself with respect to wanting or not wanting to go in one direction.
Diabetic foot: it tells me that I do not want to express what I feel to my mother because if I do I can cause a separation between her and me.
My attitude of keeping quiet, unconsciously, seeks a rapprochement with her.
Achilles tendonitis: It is the one that allows the propulsion of the body. It is also the one that empowers me to make my thoughts and desires, both physical and spiritual, come true.
If we have a problem with it, it indicates to me that I am living or have experienced a devaluation conflict when it comes to pushing myself in some aspect of my present life (real or symbolic).
I do my best to realize my dreams and to achieve the goals that I have set for myself, but I feel unable to achieve them.
“I don’t feel capable of taking the leap”
Calcaneal spur: It tells me that I feel obligated by my mother; I lack independence from my mother and/or from the world.
The spur tells me that “I must abide my mother”
Sometimes, it corresponds to a program inherited from the clan.
“I must help her, accompany her, receive her, etc., for some reason or another I continue to do so and I cannot refuse, even though she annoys me, displeases me and irritates me”, “I have no right to leave home” or to leave my mother’s domain, to put my foot on the ground to leave”,
“I wanted to leave, but I could not”, “I blame myself for thinking that I wanted to leave”, “I cannot get married; I must look after my mother”, “It is my obligation to support my parents”, “My mother says that I should look out for her”, “It is a custom, to eat every Sunday with the family and my parents”,
Therefore, the problems in the feet speak of the conflicts that I have in relation to my mother, (it can also be a symbolic mother who protects, the Social Service or the State Aids or people with whom I live who are double of my mother) and my seat in life, in the world.
They tell me that the decisions I make or maintain lack reliability or security. They can also express the perception of not moving forward, being stagnant, of going around the same thing, perhaps because of not knowing what attitude to take in a situation, because of “not knowing where to go”.
When the tension is manifested in the right foot it means that it is related to the real mother and, when it appears on the left foot, it corresponds to the symbolic mother.
