The spiritual quest to get away from physical reality:
There are people who use spirituality as a bypass to avoid facing or to avoid looking at part of reality, to try to escape from the physical and human limitation that they have had to live with and to not assume any responsibility.
Of course, spiritual life is the best life option, but I am referring to a spirituality that integrates everything, that contemplates life in its entirety and that is lived with full awareness and openness.
Deep down there is no separation between the psychological and the spiritual, which ultimately encompasses everything and must include everything.
Separation occurs when the person (ego/lower self) uses spiritual experiences or ideas to avoid facing their real difficulties, to try to compensate for low self-esteem, social alienation or emotional conflicts.
In this case, it is not a question of authentic detachment, of a transcendence of the psychological and material, but of the fear of fully living its human side.
This pseudo-spiritual practice, instead of weakening the ego, strengthens it.
The spiritual quest to get away from physical reality
However, genuine spirituality does not divert, but on the contrary liberates.
