Who am I? Am I the narrative created by the mind?
Who am I when the identification with my name, activity, nationality, role, etc. disappears?
Who am I when I stop identifying with my story, with the content of my life, with my beliefs, with my thoughts, memories, sensations, emotions, images, etc.?
Am I really what I think or believe about myself?
Am I what the world thinks about me?
If I identify with something, family, work, beauty, sexuality, wealth, and I believe that this defines me, I am identifying with mental narratives that prevent me from seeing the truth.
Who am I when there is no objective reference that defines me?
When I believe that I am the body, the memories, the sensations and the ideas about myself, I am living in a false identity, in a conceptual idea that separates me and makes me ignore the reality that I am.
All these things come and go, they are always changing, they are phenomena that appear and disappear constantly.
However, there is something that remains unchanged and that always is.
I am the one who is aware of all identifications, beliefs or emotions.
The Self is prior to any identification or manifestation because the Self is the one that manifests in everything and knows everything; it does not need any identification because it is already complete, indivisible before what is manifested.
The Self is the one who is aware of the totality of this moment in which there is a flow of experiences, sensations and forms that happen in itself and for itself.
It is the space in which everything happens; it is the consciousness that observes life itself that is behind everything, free, unlimited, and eternal.
