The CALF MUSCLE, emotional and spiritual meaning

by | Apr 2, 2025 | Diseases of the MUSCULOSKELETAL SYSTEM

The gastrocnemius muscle, popularly known as the calf muscle, is called this way because it is separated into two halves.

The “calves” symbolize duality and represent brothers, partners, friends, brothers-in-law, companions, that is, collaterals.

They are located in the back of the leg and are the most superficial muscle of the calf.

The calf, as key muscles in our legs, represent aspects related to power, strength, firmness, movement and personal value.

Problems in the calves can manifest as pain, tension or difficulty walking.

It must be kept in mind that symptoms in the calves always appear when the emotional conflict is active.

That is, when we do not stop thinking about what happened or is happening.

On a biological level we can ask ourselves, what are the calves for?

Firstly, they are responsible for the flexion of the sole of the foot and, therefore, are the main engine for starting to walk and walking.

On the other hand, they are the ones that provide us with the power to rise on tiptoe, climb or ascend.

Discomfort in the calf muscle can reflect an internal struggle to move forward when the person feels that their path is conditioned by the actions of others.

Problems in this area are associated with frustration, helplessness and immobility due to not being able to resolve conflicts or intervene in problems related to people close to us, generally with collaterals.

This blockage affects or prevents our ability to move forward, both physically and emotionally.

They may be related to doubts regarding an action or decision that must be made under pressure, between diametrically opposed options.

This reflects an emotional blockage in which the person feels unable to act or intervene in a situation involving a loved one.

Similarly, the calf muscle may also be affected if I feel helpless or unable to raise my level, progress or move up a category in an activity, etc.

In those cases where we do not find any current conflict, of those mentioned above, we must find out if the mother had conceived a “twin” pregnancy and one of them was lost along the way.

The one who survived may come with a program of feeling guilty and may unconsciously affect the twins.

In order for the calf muscle to recover, the most important thing is to become aware of the situations in which you feel powerless with respect to collaterals or close beings.

It is also very important to recognize the limits and accept that it is not possible to control the actions or decisions of others.

It is essential to understand that our personal value and emotional well-being do not depend on the actions of others.
