A person with a rejection wound believes that relationships are pointless because the outside world is uninteresting compared to their rich, albeit disconnected, inner world.
Personal relationships exhaust them.
They are unwilling to dedicate their time and energy to others (we must consider that the energetic and emotional connections they established with their parents were not very healthy; consequently, they lack a model with which to connect to others).
As is typical for someone who is not very communicative, is almost always withdrawn, and avoids involvement, commitment, and accepting the realities of life, they will have great difficulty connecting with others.
Above all, they prefer solitude, and from a young age, they appear solitary and isolated, having few friends in school and the same will continue into adulthood.
Sometimes, they can form lifelong friendships, provided they are allowed independence and the freedom to withdraw when they deem it necessary.
Because they use willpower to motivate their actions, their behavior appears insincere.
“As if,” that is, as if it were based on feeling, but in reality, their actions do not express it.
The individual with a rejection wound is usually sweet and kind and tends to go with the flow in their interactions with others.
This is primarily because they wish to avoid any kind of confrontation and, of course, if any conflict arises, they withdraw physically or mentally without leaving a trace.
In any group setting, meeting, association, etc., he will show great interest in knowing beforehand the specific details about everything that will be discussed, or about the attendees, etc.
Likewise, he can be friendly if he knows beforehand what his interlocutors expect of him.
If at any point he wants something from someone and that person is preoccupied with something else, he will leave without saying anything and suppress his desire, as he is convinced that it is not important enough to distract or bother the other person.
Some people can develop a great inner sensitivity to everything around them.
Because of this, they can perceive the warmth and security that the people they live with provide.
Similarly, they are also perfectly aware when someone is angry, even if they don’t express it.
