THE MASOCHISTIC STRUCTURE, creation of the ego

by | Aug 20, 2024 | THE TASK OF THE SOUL

A person can be considered to have a masochistic character structure when they contain many typical features of the space between eighteen months and four years.

This period is known as the anal stage.

During this period the child begins to learn to control his or her sphincters and feeding.

Until now, the baby had focused all his or her attention on the oral function of his or her body.

From now on, all his or her sensations will be related to the anal region and the urethral apparatus.

The child will begin to feel pleasure from the retention and expulsion of feces and urine.

Conflict may arise between the child’s demands for satisfaction and the social norms represented by the parents.

This may probably lead to an authority/rebellion conflict.

Thus, masochistic traits can be considered related to a difficulty in obtaining pleasure.

EXPERIENCES OF OTHER LIVES THAT BRINGS IN HIS MEMORY:

When he or she incarnates again in this world, he or she brings back memories of having gone through strong experiences of abuse of power.

You may have been deprived of your freedom or felt trampled by the power of some tyrannical regime.

It may have been political or religious in nature or you may have lived in a convent with strict rules.

Similarly, you may have experienced some form of slavery, exploitation, physical violence or sexual abuse, etc.

Therefore, any of these situations implies having lived under strict control and submission to the rules by the authority.

In addition, there is a lack of individual freedom, accompanied by a feeling of helplessness.
