HOW EMOTIONS AFFECT YOUR HEALTH!

by | Dec 31, 2025 | MISCELLANY

How emotions affect your health! There is a growing awareness of the importance of the relationship between our feelings and our health.

For some, it’s nothing new to know that anger and fear, for example, are two of the emotions that generate practically all the ailments or conditions a human being can suffer.

However, for many, it’s still a bit difficult to understand how their emotions influence their health.

This is because, from a young age, we were conditioned to believe that cures and remedies for our ailments were “out there,” whether in the form of medication, syrup, pills, etc.

Television is full of advertisements promoting a long list of miracle products to solve everything from being overweight to gastritis, heart problems, and so on.

A quick cure is what we want when we have an illness.

Undoubtedly, going to the pharmacy to buy remedies for this and that is always a very convenient and practical alternative.

Likewise, we are used to going to the doctor to find out what’s wrong with us, and we dismiss the possibility of healing ourselves because we don’t believe we have this healing power…

Nobody told us how!

And yet, the body can heal itself from virtually any ailment.

The only problem is that we reject the idea; we don’t believe we can do it, and the less we believe, the more dependent we become on medications and doctors.

Why, if our cells regenerate and renew themselves completely in a few days (even bone cells), do we still get sick?

If we are new beings every so often, why don’t we heal?

What keeps illness “stuck” to us?

To heal ourselves, it is essential to begin understanding how emotions influence our state of health.

What are emotions?

Emotions are reactions that occur in our bodies in response to the different experiences we live through: sadness, fear, loneliness, anxiety, joy, anger, etc., are some of the ways we respond to what happens to us.

Many people believe that feeling hatred or being violent, or having feelings of fear or anxiety, is wrong.

But in reality, no emotion is bad; they are all simply reflections of how we see and understand the world.

The body is like a sponge: in addition to absorbing nutrients and energy from food, it is also very susceptible to storing how we experience life.

It’s not that it’s wrong to get angry or feel fear, anxiety, etc.

The problem is that, since we don’t know what to do with what we feel, we often bottle up anger, rage, or disguise or hide it, as well as fear and tension.

The tension and exhaustion of experiencing life are stored like pebbles in our body’s warehouse.

Even those emotions we think we’ve long since forgotten often remain, creating tension and emotional pain in our lives.

That’s why it’s so important to understand what we feel.

We often live so fast that we don’t give ourselves time to assimilate what we feel and experience; we evade the valuable messages that emotions want to give us, which only want to lead us to know and understand ourselves better as human beings.
