MYCOSIS, emotional and spiritual meaning

by | Dec 4, 2025 | Diseases of the SKIN, EYES, KIDNEYS and THYROID

Cutaneous mycosis refers to the repair phase of a skin condition in which fungi are present.

From a biological perspective, fungi are considered cleansing agents that feed on dead substances (cells) that grew during the stressful phase of the conflict.

Mycosis speaks to a separation conflict with a nuance of dishonor and/or an attack on one’s integrity.

This separation is experienced as a vital force.

“I will die if they leave, if I lose contact with…”

The biological purpose of mycosis is the cleansing of the affected body part, due to the fungus’s role as a gravedigger, as well as the search for renewal and strength in a situation of lack of freedom, effort, or inability to achieve self-acceptance.

I struggle to accept myself as I am, and I long for the acceptance and adoration of those around me.

What is my relationship with death?

What aspects of my life represent death or being dead to me?

It seems I’m the “cleaner” of my family, and therefore I must take responsibility for resolving the dirty or rotten issues within it.

I feel like a part of me is dying. I can’t say goodbye to my dreams, to living life the way I want.

What I’m experiencing doesn’t match what I expected. I feel cheated, I feel disconnected from my inner child, and I can’t grieve.

I might develop fungal infections if I’m trying to repair the family tree of dirty, rotten, or smelly situations.

What are the rotten or dead things or situations that I still hold onto in my life?

Mycosis of the feet: When fungal infections appear on the feet, there is an emotional conflict related to the mother (real or symbolic).

Among the situations that can generate this type of conflict are not receiving affection or attention from the mother and the feeling (real or imagined) of having been abandoned by her.

Similarly, one may feel that she shows no interest in what happens to us, that she doesn’t care or attend to our problems.

Likewise, it could reflect feelings of shame regarding the mother’s behavior or attitudes.

Furthermore, it may indicate that I feel irritated or frustrated because I am unable to walk or move forward in the way I want because my mother opposes me.

What a trap I’ve fallen into!

In any other type of fungal infection, it is necessary to interpret the biological function of the affected body part to determine its origin.

Why is it so hard for me to say “no”?

Being unable to say “no” is a learned behavior that often functions as an emotional defense mechanism. At a deep psychological level, your mind has come to associate saying “no” with a threat to your relationships or your emotional stability; consequently, it chooses...
