DRY EYES: emotional and spiritual causes

by | Jan 21, 2025 | Diseases of the SKIN, EYES, KIDNEYS and THYROID

Dryness in the eyes or dry eyes syndrome is a fairly common symptom.

It occurs when the eyes do not produce enough tears to stay moist or when the tears do not perform their function correctly.

According to statistics, it affects approximately 30% of the population.

In general it is more common in older people.

It is not a serious symptom, but it does cause discomfort and some alterations that can be important.

Could we ask ourselves what emotional conflict I have experienced or am experiencing to manifest this symptom of dryness or lack of lubrication, of tears in my eyes?

In general, dry eyes syndrome reflects the state of anger and rage that I feel about something dirty that I have seen.

“There is no joy in my eyes anymore.”

In addition, it is related to a person whom I truly love, I love her deeply.

I did not expect it.

That is why what I have seen is such a painful and outrageous fact for me that, unconsciously, I refuse to see her again with the eyes of love.

And, consequently, deep within me I refuse to forgive her.

Sometimes the wound can even be so deep that I would rather die than forgive him.

Even if I say “I forgive you,” it is not true; the fury is still in my eyes.

Likewise, dry eyes can be due to the fact that I stop myself from crying, I refuse to express my emotions.

“Crying is forbidden.” I cannot suffer in front of others, I have to remain insensitive, I must not show my feelings and allow another person to see them.

The symptom of dry eyes affects people who, in some way, have cried a lot in their childhood or adolescence and one day promised that they would not cry anymore.

“I refuse to cry and forgive.”

A very important characteristic to keep in mind is that those who suffer from this symptom are very intolerant and intransigent.

They have difficulty accepting others as they are and sometimes, they see it with anger when they do not do what she would like them to do.

What have I seen that has made me feel hurt and for which I refuse to forgive?

Reflection to recover the normal state: nobody does anything to me.

Everything arises in me and dissolves in me when I see the love that is always present in me.
